Mountain View Instrumental Scores Big at Independence Competition

Mountain View placed second in Class 3A and took Best Music and Percussion honors for its class at the Independence High Band Tournament. Mountain View's overall scores at Indy were higher than both 4A schools. The Percussion score at Indy was second highest of all 19 schools that participated.

Congratulations to the MVHS Winter Guard and Winter Percussion on their award-winning performances at the California Color Guard Circuit Championship Competition! Winter Percussion placed first in its class, and Winter Guard placed third in its class. The competition was held Saturday, April 2, at San Jose's Independence High School.

The MVHS Chamber Orchestra was the judge's choice at the Hawaii Pacific Basin Music Festival in March for Instrumental Command Performance and took home gold. Congratulations to the Chamber Orchestra!
