Marching Band

A competitive field Marching Band open to all performers. Prior musical or dance experience is recommended but not necessary for Winds, Percussion, or Color Guard. During the first quarter this class meets after school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some Saturdays during the Fall require attendance for rehearsals and all-day competitions. Summer training is offered for Color Guard and Percussion.

Blue Horizons

4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25

Mountain View High Football Stadium

The Spartans Marching Band is excited to present the first two movements of its 2021 show, Blue Horizons, with design by Tim Hinton, Thomas Peters, Bruce Paulson and Armeen Gharfourpour.

The band will share the performance field with the Los Altos High School Eagle Marching Band.

Join the two bands in their triumphant return to the marching band field.

Practice Schedule

Mondays     4-6:30 p.m.

Thursdays   5-8 p.m.

Saturdays    9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Band rehearsal times were adjusted this school year to abide by an agreement the Mountain View Los Altos High School District made with the Neighborhood Association, which mandates that evening Marching Band rehearsals can go until 8 p.m. only one night a week. Other evening rehearsals must end by 6:30 p.m.
