Travelers (and Newcomers to Marching Band & Wind Ensemble),
We will be holding our first London meeting of the school year next Tuesday, September 4th, at 6:45pm, immediately following the Marching Band rehearsal. We will be going over our updated itinerary and discussing new information that we learned during our very productive site visit.
While there will be a lot of redundant info, this meeting is OPTIONAL for all members and parents currently signed up to travel with us and have been to one of our previous informational meetings. We encourage all new travelers to treat this as HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as we will be touching on expedited payment plans and going over preliminary details once more.
*** If you haven't submitted your Letter of Intent (PDF to the right), please do so ASAP ***
We will need to LOCK IN all travelers (students and chaperones) by the end of September. There will be another thorough SURVEY going out in a few weeks that will require all travelers to complete - this will include finalized flight needs and information regarding instruments and gear that we will SHIP to London.
Thank you, see you on Tuesday!

The Mountain View High School Spartan Marching Band will travel to London, England to march in the 2019 New Year’s Day Parade. The band will join over 10,000 participants from the USA, UK, Europe, and beyond, where they will perform to a huge street audience of more than 500,000 and a television audience of over 300 million people. In addition, the Wind Ensemble will perform concerts as part of the London New Year’s Day Parade Music Festival.
We are super excited to take the band on their first international tour, and are working hard to make this a memorable experience both musically and culturally, and include as many of our musicians as want to participate. Music Director Jason Kneebone has invited the 2017 and 2018 Spartan Marching Band Alumni to join current students on this trip.
Trip dates: December 27, 2018 through January 3, 2019
Travel documents: Start the process early! You must have a valid passport with an expiration date no later than July 4, 2018.
