Homestead Festival
8:30 a.m.-1:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11
This strings-only festival, hosted by Homestead High in Cupertino, is an excellent opportunity for MVHS students to give an adjudicated performance, participate in a clinic run by another music educator and listen to other local school orchestras!
Schedule
You are responsible for your own transportation to and from Homestead High. Please drop students off on time!
8:30-8:45 a.m.
Students arrive at Homestead High School with their instruments and music folders. Check in with teachers.
9 a.m.
Both orchestras move to the audience.
9:15 a.m.
2nd Period warm-up
9:50 a.m.
2nd Period performance. Parents are welcome to attend.
10:15 a.m.
2nd Period clinic
10:40 a.m.
2nd Period returns to audience.
11:20 a.m.
6th Period warm-up
11:45 a.m.
6th Period performance. Parents are welcome to attend.
12:10 p.m.
6th Period clinic
12:45 p.m.
6th Period returns to audience.
1:05 p.m.
All students picked up by families.
You must check out before leaving campus.
Eat a Big Breakfast!
No food or drink, except for water, is permitted in the theater.
CMEA Festival
Friday, April 2
Hosted by the California Music Educators Association and held at Fremont High in Sunnyvale, this festival affords music students an opportunity for an adjudicated performance assessed on sight-reading skills.
