Note new performance date
Saturday, April 29
Hosted by the California Music Educators Association and held at Fremont High in Sunnyvale, this festival affords music students an opportunity for an adjudicated performance assessed on sight-reading skills.
Return your permission slip as soon as possible!
Because this is a Saturday event, students will provide their own transportation. If you need help arranging a ride, please let Ricky Alegria or Jo Smith-Nilsson know so that they can help you do so.
String Orchestra students will arrive at Fremont High School at 1 p.m. and leave at 4:30 p.m.
Chamber Orchestra students will arrive at Fremont High School at 2 p.m. and leave at 5 p.m. This is so the performers can support one another and provide an audience to the other ensembles.
What to Wear
Concert attire, including black dress shoes.
Where to Meet
In front of the cafeteria.
Where to Park
Students will be able to access the cafeteria directly from the bus drop off lot or, after a short walk, from either of the regular parking lots (see map).
What to Bring
If you are bringing a school instrument, be sure to take it home Friday.
You and your stand partner should discuss who should bring the folder to the site; exchange phone numbers, just in case.
Your family and friends
The bigger the audience the better!
What Not to Bring
Your case will be left unattended while you are performing.
